I am working on some super fun posts and I can't wait to publish them! For now I wanted to quickly check in and give you some info and links! Everyone's favorite thing, right? The March MMS dates are open and ready for booking! We will be shooting at Bear Creek Nature Center (245 Bear Creek Road). Written directions are at the bottom of the post! There are beautiful trees and picturesque wooden fences. I'm super excited to see y'all there.

Hello one and all!

Whether you are brand new or an old friend: welcome.

For all the newbies, I would like to do a quick intro to let you know what I'm all about.

My name is Melissa.

I live in beautiful Colorado Springs, Colorado.

I love my adorable Sweetcheeks (Husband) and our Mini Sweetcheeks and Lil' Sweetcheeks (two kiddos).

I love photography.

I love nachos.

I love when it rains.

In that order.

Ok, enough about me.

Humbletakes is all about gorgeous, authentic, and affordable photos.

I believe that you deserve beautiful photos at reasonable cost.

And that's where I come in.

I specialize in what I call a Mini-Mini-Session (MMS).

There is a complete, and I mean a com-PLETE, explanation and details HERE.

Synopsis: MMS's are held on certain days of the month, you book your session online, show up, smile a lot, and you're on your way!

They are efficient, fun, and AFFORDABLE!

A Little Love...

Hiya friends!

I am reeeally far behind with posting this, but better late than never...or something.

This is my Lil' Sweetcheeks...and he turned ONE on December 1st!

We celebrated with a mini photoshoot...cuz how else would celebrate? I mean, really?

This past year has been a wonderful and wild ride.

My heart almost explodes with love when I look at this boy's sweet face.

He challenges me in ways I never knew possible and brings out my best (and worst) sides.

He is positively a gift.

A gift I cherish.

So to my sweet, curious, timid boy:

I love you more than words could ever possibly describe.

I hold you physically close now and in my heart forever.

You have given my life purpose and made my heart whole.

I love you, Lil' Sweetcheeks.

Last Chance MMS!

I have been LURVING this busy busy family season!

It's been a record breaking year for me and I could NOT be more excited!

Well, I finally have them for you.

There are FOUR MMS dates and TWO locations to choose from.

Quick Note: I have decided to hold two MMS's in the middle of the week because I realize how quickly Saturdays can get crazy. Hopefully these will be good options for anyone that can't quite squeeze in family pictures, headshots, or engagements on a Saturday!

The downtown-ish location is so amazing and there has been sooo much interest that I have decided to hold TWO June MMS's there.

YAY!

We'll be partying right around HERE (closest approximation because there is not really an exact address) June 4th and 15th.

Book your May MMS Session NOW!

Hey MMS-ers!

I have everything you need to book your May 7th MMS (it's getting so close, so make it happen!!!)!

I snapped a couple pictures of the area so that y'all could get an idea of how insanely cool this place is!

I am BURSTING with inspiration from this area.....I may or may not have tinkled a little.

I hope these quick snap shots show you the versatility and personality of this place.

There are some bright, colorful, crazy options but if that isn't your flavor there are tons of other walls, train tracks, stairs, and walkways to suit your fancy.

I am beyond stoked to be shooting here and I can't wait to see all of you there!

Spring MMS Time! YAAAY!!!

Greetings!
I don't know about you, but I'm ready for spring! Who's up for a MMS? There is an extensive explanation here but I'll just give you the highlights..and you can read all that good stuff later :) 
What you REALLY need to know is that the next MMS will be on MAY 7, 2016! YAY!! Mark your calendars!

I will have a follow up post in about two weeks with the link to book your session and the location details so keep your eyes glued to the blog for that.

OK, back to the explanation....they are called mini-mini sessions (MMS for short) and they are quick and affordable!

Here are the hard and fast details, sessions are in 20 or 35 minute time slots and they include 5, 10, or 15 digital images. All you have to do is schedule and pay for your session online! Then you show up at the MMS location and we party for a bit. Easy. Within a week of your session I will email you a link to your "proofing gallery" and you will decide what digital images you would like. Then poof, I'll email you the images and you're done! Just like that!

Here is your investment: a 20 minute session, including 5 digital prints, is only $65! A 35 minute session, including 10 digital prints, is $110. And finally, for a 35 minute session, including 15 digital prints, you only pay $125! Boom....mind. blown. (Additional digital prints can be purchased for $10/image (+tax))

These sessions are perfect for pretty much everyone! Headshots, families, seniors, engagements...EVERYONE!

The Beauty of The Czech Republic

Hey Gang!

I realized that there are SO many pictures from our European travels that I have never posted!

I was all like, "Melissa, get on top of this!".

So this is me getting on top of it.

We spent quite a while in the Czech Republic and it quickly became one of my favorite places.

I loved Prague and a smaller town called  České Budějovice!

Both cities are charming and full of character.

We met some great people and I was in awe of the architecture and quaint streets.

I also loved the John Lennon wall and the lock bridge.

The Czech Republic gets two HUGE thumbs up from this gal!
