I *LOVE* love!

Hey All!
I have SUCH exciting news!
Well...it's not exciting for me directly but it IS exciting for, like, the WORLD!
My dear friends Skyler and Brock (pictured below) have been together for two years.
You may remember them from HERE.
As a special anniversary surprise for Brock, Skyler booked a photo session with the one and only, fabulously talented, and, let's not forget, jaw-droppingly beautiful Melissa Humble-Sage of Humbletakes Photography. (imagine me saying that last sentence with a snooty British accent....cuz that's how it sounds in my head)
Moving on.
I met up with Brock and Skyler at Memory Grove Park in downtown Salt Lake City.
Very pretty.
Brock was surprised and seemed pleased at this extraordinary (again with the British thing) and thoughtful gift.
So we hugged and caught up and then starting taking their anniversary pictures.
We started by the pond and then worked our way to a cute little bridge.
I set them up on the bridge, took a few "checking light" shots, and then started shooting.
It was right about then that Brock realized that something about this session was different.
Usually as I work with clients I yell directions and suggestions to them...I think as soon as I stopped talking and was just shooting Brock suspected something.
However, I don't think it was until Skyler got down on one knee that Brock understood what was happening.
That's right!
Big ole' surprise engagement!
AAHHH!!!
PS - I cried....big shocker, I know.
It was so amazing.
I absolutely adore these two.
They are happy and energetic and just plain fun.
There are two things, specifically, that make me happy:
1 - that they decided to spend the rest of their lives together
2 - that they chose ME to capture that special moment.
It means the world to me that people put that kind of trust in me.
I could NOT be happier for these two.
They are a perfect match and will be so happy together.
I love you, Brock and Skyler!

Also....just as a general belief that you may or may not agree with and either of those are ok.
I *love* love.
I love happiness.
I love joy.
These two people have chosen to make promises and commitments to each other...no different than any one else.
Period.
I want more love in the world, more acceptance, and just more love.
These two put that into the world. They love each other deeply and will have a beautiful life together.
Seeing that kind of love and devotion between two people is the, hands down, BEST part of my job. I am lucky that I get to witness the positive things in this world when we are surrounded by so much negativity.
Again thank you, Skyler and Brock, for letting me witness (and photograph) your love and happiness.
It means the world to me.

Shoot ya Later :)
