Here's the Thing....although "the Thing" just sounds like an excuse...

Hey ya'll!
I don't have a new post of pictures today...but I will soon (by soon I mean, like, tomorrow or Tuesday)
Here's the thing.........photography is not my full time job.........yet.
I work full time as a chemist but I am working my *damnedest* (excuse the language mom) to become a full time photographer.
It is my passion
It is what makes me happy
It is what gives me purpose.
Unfortunately, I can not quit my "adult" job and do my "fun" job full time. Again, yet.
I have this c r a z y supportive husband, Sweetcheeks, who is always pushing me to be the best artist I can be. He is consistently encouraging me with things like, "You're on your way. You will be doing this full time soon!" and "If you want to quit your job and pursue photography with everything you've got then I'm in." - I mean, I couldn't have even ASKED for a more supportive partner in crime.
However, my logical and reasonable brain (read: chemist side of brain) prevents me from taking the risk of quitting the well paying and stable job that I have to pursue something much more 'dangerous' and unknown. So, I am in a transitional phase where I am working on photography more and more with every intention of doing it full time (hopefully within the next year) but still maintaining my full time job to pay my bills and handle my responsibilities.
I know that this sounds like an excuse (at least I think it does) that I can pull out when I slack off finding clients or updating the blog or whatever. The truth is...doing both jobs (also trying to be a great, present, doesn't-leave-the-house-in-permanent-disarray wife) is taking all I've got.
I promise that I am doing the best I can and I continue to push myself to do better.
One day *soon* I WILL be doing photography full time.
When that time comes I hope you (and many many more) are around to enjoy it with me.
Thank you all so much for your support and the time you take to check out the work.
You have no idea how much I appreciate every single person that finds their way to this blog.
Thank you for being patient and for allowing me to pursue my dream.
I love you all!
Shoot ya Later :)
